Lucknow airport expansion is finally taking a massive leap forward as officials prepare for a transformative ₹10,700-crore overhaul over the next decade. Presented by Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL) roughly two months ago, the long-term masterplan aims to elevate the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport into a premier long-haul aviation and logistics hub for northern India. Currently, the airport operates two passenger terminals alongside a single 2,744-metre runway. While that runway accommodates wide-body jets, its length imposes strict payload limitations on long-haul routes.
