History
The planetarium was established in 2003, and was opened to the public on 8th May of the same year. It was constructed by the Uttar Pradesh State Science and Technology Council with the aim of popularizing astronomy and space science among the general public.

The planetarium is located in the heart of Lucknow city, near the famous Hazratganj area. Its address is 8, Gautam Buddha Marg, Gautam Buddh Marg, Bans Mandi, Hazratganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, 226001.
Facilities
The planetarium is equipped with a modern digital projector system that displays realistic and accurate simulations of the night sky, constellations, and celestial events. It also has a large dome theater with a seating capacity of around 200 people. Tickets
1- Rs 25/- per person (above 3 years of age).
2- Concessional ticket @ Rs 10/- per person for a group of 30 or more.
3- Free for handicapped persons
Show Timings
1- 1:00 pm, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM (Extra Shows at 6:00 in Summer Vacations).
2- First Show on Saturday and Sunday is in English, all remaining shows on all days are in Hindi.
3- Shows at 11 & 12 Noon can be organized for a group of 100 or more persons.
4- Booking : 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
