Lucknow Introduces Hassle-Free QR Code Payment for House Tax

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation has introduced a new system for filing house tax that will allow citizens to pay their taxes without standing in long lines.

Starting from May 15th, a QR code will be printed on the bill sent by the authorities and will also be available at payment centres for easy access.

The taxpayer can simply scan the code from their registered mobile number and pay the amount without any hassle.

The process is expected to be time-saving and user-friendly, with receipts of submission being sent to the registered mobile number.

Previously, individuals had to visit the official website of the Municipal Corporation or deposit cash at payment centres. This step towards a cashless society is anticipated to make the tax-filing process easier and more convenient for citizens.
