Phoenix Palassio
On Amar Shaheed Path in Gomti Nagar Extension, Sector 7, the mall with the tall atrium and the musical fountain is Phoenix Palassio. Spell it Palassio, not Palacio. Phoenix Mills built it. It opened in July 2020, in the middle of the unlock, and Lucknow has treated it as a normal evening out ever since. It is a mall. It is not a heritage court. If you wanted Hazratganj, that cream-and-pink street is still the Ganj, several kilometres west.
History
The Phoenix Mills Co. Ltd., with Atul Ruia as chairman in the company’s own telling, opened Phoenix Palassio as its Lucknow flagship. Times of India carried the launch note on 8 July 2020: about 13.53 acres, a built-up area given there as one million square feet, more than 300 brands, and a list of firsts for the city that included H&M, Starbucks, Aldo, Mango, Bath & Body Works, Steve Madden, The Collective, Under Armour and others. Anchor names in that copy included Lifestyle, Westside, Marks & Spencer, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Max and Big Bazaar. Tenancies change. Walk the directory in the atrium.
The mall’s about page still describes more than 300 brands, Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, Home Centre, Pantaloons, a 10-screen INOX with special formats, and first-in-UP names such as H&M, Under Armour, Steve Madden, Superdry and Sephora. It also names Funcity, Timezone and Palassio Square, an event court. Six atriums, three grand entrances, a musical fountain and a thick chandelier count are the architecture the company sells. INOX Leisure had already started a 10-screen, 1,710-seat multiplex on the third floor on 14 March 2020, before the full mall launch. Booking pages in August 2026 still list INOX Megaplex Phoenix Palassio. After the PVR-INOX merger the brand on a ticket stub can read either way. Book the show, do not argue the logo.
What to do
Shop the floors. Eat. Watch a film. Children use Funcity or Timezone when those parks are running. The fountain is the evening photograph if the jets are on. Palassio Square holds the larger public events when the mall lists one. This is the Gomti Nagar Extension habit: office families, students, a Saturday crowd. It is denser and closer in than Lulu Mall in Golf City. Lulu is the later, larger shed further down Shaheed Path. Palassio is the one you hit first from Vipin Khand and the river.
Do not confuse the food court here with Food Valley, which is the open LDA street on Asha Jyoti Lane by the Gomti Riverfront. Do not confuse Palassio with Phoenix United in Alambagh, a different Phoenix mall. United is the older Alambagh shed. Palassio is the Extension building with the fountain. Visiting
The mall’s own site, on the contact and movies pages, prints 11 am to 10 pm every day, weekdays and weekends alike. We read that clock on 28 August 2026 from phoenixpalassio.com. Cinema last shows can run later than the shop floors. Individual restaurants keep their own shutters. There is no sightseeing ticket. Parking is the mall’s. Phone numbers printed on the contact page have included 7518024231 and 0522-6667700; use the site if a number has moved.
Autos know Palassio, Shaheed Path, Gomti Nagar Extension. App cabs do too. Metro does not drop you at the door. From Lohia Park in Vipin Khand the hop is short. From the Ganj it is a Shaheed Path drive. Weekends fill. A weekday afternoon is easier for walking the directory. Sale weeks are a crowd, not a quiet architecture tour. Confirm any atrium event on the mall site rather than on a forwarded poster. Parking is under and around the mall; keep the stub. A weekday late morning, just after 11, is the calm hour for walking the directory without a film ticket in your pocket.
Nearby
Lohia Park and Ambedkar Memorial Park are the Gomti Nagar parks on the way in. The riverfront and Food Valley are the evening walk if you still want air. Lulu Mall is the further Shaheed Path mall in Golf City. Janeshwar Mishra Park is the large lawn in the Extension. More Lucknow ground sits under places.
Come to shop and sit. Say Phoenix Palassio, Palassio with two s’s, Gomti Nagar Extension. If you say only Phoenix, you may be sent to Alambagh.
